Privacy for studios
For studios and other venues that use Dibs to take bookings. Updated 3 November 2026. For your clients, see privacy.
What Dibs is for a studio
Dibs is an agent that a studio uses to take bookings by text. Your clients text Dibs, and Dibs books them into your classes. They book in your own booking system, under their own name.
What Dibs keeps about your studio
- The name, email address and phone number of the people at the studio who talk with us, and notes from those talks.
- Facts from your public website, for example class names, times, prices, booking rules and where you are. Dibs keeps a fact only when it is on your page.
- The booking page links and any promo code that you give us.
- If you give Dibs access to your booking system, the class times, free spots and the bookings that Dibs makes. Dibs reads only what it needs to make those bookings.
Your clients' details
- When a client books through Dibs, your studio gets their name, email address, phone number, the class, the time and the group size, in your own system.
- Dibs uses a client's details to make and manage their bookings and to reply to them. Dibs does not sell them, and it does not give them to other studios.
- Dibs keeps its own conversation with each client. How Dibs keeps and deletes that is on the privacy page, including how a client deletes their data.
- Dibs asks you to use a client's email for their booking only, unless the client texted OFFERS YES to get offers from the venues they book with.
Where it is kept, and who else sees it
- Dibs's data is on a Google Cloud server in Australia, with a nightly safety copy that is kept for 14 days.
- Notes about studios and the people we talk with are kept in a private Notion workspace that the Dibs team uses.
- The services that run Dibs: Sendblue carries the texts, AI model companies (Google, and others through OpenRouter) write the replies, and Stripe takes card payments when a booking needs one. The privacy page lists them.
- Dibs's agent may visit your public website to read facts and class times. How the agent visits sites.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
Your choices
- You can stop using Dibs at any time. Tell us, and Dibs stops taking bookings for your studio.
- Email us to get a copy of what Dibs keeps about your studio, to correct it, or to delete it. Bookings already made stay in your own system.
- Email us if you want Dibs's agent to stop visiting your website.
